What is Emsculpt?

Emsculpt is a non-invasive body contouring and muscle toning treatment that uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology to stimulate muscle contractions and reduce fat in targeted areas of the body.

However, you may (or may not) know that Emsculpt is a very expensive product to buy as a business owner (we’re talking in the region of $150K+ !).

Why is it so expensive?  Good question!

  1. Muscle Building: Emsculpt induces strong muscle contractions, which are more intense and frequent than what can be achieved through voluntary exercise. These contractions lead to muscle growth and increased muscle definition.
  2. Fat Reduction: In addition to building muscle, Emsculpt can also help reduce localized fat deposits in the treated area. The intense muscle contractions create metabolic changes that lead to fat cell breakdown
  3. Non-Invasive: Emsculpt is a non-surgical and non-invasive procedure, which means there are no incisions, needles, or anesthesia required. It is performed externally using a specialized device.
  4. Targeted Treatment: Emsculpt can target specific areas of the body, including the abdomen, buttocks, thighs, and arms, to address individual aesthetic goals.
  5. No Downtime: Since Emsculpt is non-invasive, most individuals can resume their regular activities immediately after treatment. There is typically minimal discomfort and no recovery time needed.
  6. Gradual Results: While some individuals may notice improvements after a single session, the full results of Emsculpt treatments become more apparent over several weeks. Multiple sessions are often recommended for optimal results.
  7. Toning and Strengthening: Emsculpt is not only used for aesthetic purposes but also for muscle strengthening and toning. It can be beneficial for individuals looking to enhance their athletic performance or address muscle-related concerns.
  8. FDA-Cleared: Emsculpt is an FDA-cleared medical device, which means it has undergone testing and received regulatory approval for its safety and effectiveness.

However, here at Device Trade we don’t believe these are good enough reasons!

We do really like the Emsculpt device but what we don’t like is the fact that BTL (the company that owns the device) makes it incredibly difficult to buy used equipment, the re-certification fee is very high ($50K+ ) and as a result means the used price is no longer a “good deal”.

Fear not, we believe that there are several devices on the market that can achieve the same results, our favorite; CMslim.

What is CM Slim?

The treatment is similar to Emsculpt, in that, it uses a specific range of frequencies (both CMSlim and Emsculpt use HI-EMT) that force muscles to maintain a contracted state for several seconds at a time.

But the difference with CM Slim is that it uses higher energy which delivers 10,000 more contractions in 30 minutes than Emsculpt.

Like Emsculpt, it;

  • Helps increase and tone muscles
  • Reduces localized fat
  • Strengthens your core muscles
  • Sculpts your abdomen, lifts and tightens buttocks

In terms of cost, the CM Slim is listed on www.device-trade.com at $20,000 (this device has been used a handful of times) making it 86% cheaper to purchase!

In addition, Emsculpt charges $10,000 - $15,000 for consumables (yes, even though the cost of the machine is SO expensive), whereas CM Slim requires no consumables.
